Nyckelharpa Care

At first blush, a nyckelharpa can seem a frightening object, especially if something doesn't seem to function quite right. Oh, my! Where to begin? First and foremost, stay calm and don't do anything rash. A nyckelharpa is an assemblage of lots of wooden pieces which work in concert with each other ... most of the time. But things can happen, such as humidity, or a crash to the floor, or strings can get worn out or snap, or tangents might need tweaking, or the bridge migrates a millimeter this way or that, or any number of other common ailments that cause your harpa to need fearless hands-on attention. Be assured, you can deal with it yourself as long as you have the right information.
